One idea to get more backlinks or social share
In a forum, fb group don't share articles that everyone else is trying to share and rank for. Instead share that is bit unique, like your ideas thoughts. Ofcourse that has to be on same nichhe, bit catchy, do may be not have to be very much search engines friendly because if you have that unique idea, it is possible that most of the people are not searching for it anyway.
For example instead of sharing "how to start a blog", I would share "how google is killing small websites" - it is bit catchy, that many want to read, and not everyone is competing on.
2. 1 tip on increasing your followers
It is mostly for getting your followers of one platform to another.
So, I shared my article, many people shared theirs.
And the admin Santanu he tweeted the articles he liked, and commented something relevant in facebook, also let them know that he tweeted the article.
So it's kind of ego bait, most of the people will search him on twitter, check the tweet and like it. And many among them will also follow, atleast I did.
