You can change the Password, you can change the admin email, but the username.
Well, WordPress Dashboard doesn't provide an option to change it, that doesn't mean you can not change the WordPress Username at all.
In fact, changing WordPress Password is very simple...
Using a plugin...
Called Easy Username Updater.
You can find this plugin in WordPress Plugin Directory. It is better to install it from your WordPress Dash > Plugins > New Plugin > Search "Easy Username Updater" > Find the Plugin developed by Yogesh C. Pant > Install Now > Activate
Change WordPress Username
Once you have Easy Username Updater plugin activated follow these steps to change your username.
- Hover over Users on the left menu, Click on Username Updater menu
- You will see a list of users. Click on update beside the user you want to change the username of
- Type the New Username in the box provided. Check the box below if you want to receive an email about the updated username
- Click Update Username button
You are done. You may click on Go Back button.
You will be logged out of your dashboard. You need login with Updated Username.
Another good thing about the plugin is that, you can uninstall the plugin after using and everything will be fine.
